Social responsibility matters, and at Proof Improved I aim to put ethical awareness to use in my working practice.

So far, I have these boxes ticked:

• All paper and card purchased for work at Proof Improved is made from between 80 and 100% post-consumer recycled waste (depending on the percentage available in suitable materials), and I work paperlessly where possible.

• Toner cartridges are recycled.

• My business account is with the Co-operative Bank, which abides by a customer-driven ethical policy.

• I work from a home office, so no routine commuting is required, and my main form of transport to external appointments is public transport.

• This website is hosted using 100% renewable energy.

• I minimise the use of energy while working, turning off appliances and lights when not in use and maximising use of natural light.

• Among my motives for working flexibly and cost-effectively is a desire to make copy quality control services much more accessible. I believe that this allows me to support the communications strategies and growth of new initiatives, across sectors, that contribute socially and environmentally as well as economically, while the people in charge of them get on with their everyday business of breaking new ethical ground.
