About me...

I trained in proofreading with the Publishing Training Centre, the industry's recognised training provider. I'm a full member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, whose mentoring programme I have also successfully completed.

But perhaps more importantly, I have over a decade's experience of writing and fixing copy professionally, both in-house and freelance - for businesses, authors, national and local governments, charities, educators, students and social enterprises. I have handled materials in fields including training and education, marketing and PR, sexual violence, research and consultancy, health, sustainability, and equality and diversity.

I've also been writing my own poetry and prose fiction, and attending development programmes to hone my creative expression, for more than twenty years.

This wide experience has equipped me to provide each client with the balance of communication, creativity and efficiency that is necessary for their web page, brochure, short story or thesis to become the best possible incarnation of itself!
